JCAHO Public NoticeEffective January 1, 2006, the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations will be conducting unannounced accreditation surveys to health care organizations. The purpose of the survey will be to evaluate the organization's compliance with nationally established Joint Commission standards. The survey results will be used to determine whether, and the conditions under which, accreditation should be awarded the organization. Joint Commission standards deal with organizational quality of care issues and the safety of the environment in which care is provided. If for any reason you have concerns about patient care and safety in our facility, we encourage you to discuss this with your provider, the management of the unit or clinic where you received care, or a member of our Administrative staff.
