The Duke Raleigh Hospital Public Safety Department is charged with providing a safe and secure environment for all who visit our campus.
We are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and can be reached by calling the public safety office at 919-954-3911.
We are committed to the prevention and deterrence of crime and the protection of life and property. Officers provide physical security by conducting thorough patrols of the campus, buildings, and surrounding areas.
The Public Safety Department provides direction and assistance for emergency response and fire safety at Duke Raleigh Hospital as well as providing services to meet the needs of our community.
Some of these services include:
- Coordinating the shuttle service
- Maintaining a lost and found department and securing patient valuables
- Assisting campus motorists with minor vehicular problems
- Providing crime-prevention services, lectures, and seminars
- Testing and inspecting closed-circuit cameras and monitors, door access readers, intrusion alarm systems, and other physical security enhancements
