Dr. Lawrence Yenni

Dr. Lawrence Yenni of Orthopaedic Specialist of North Carolina, received his medical degree from the University of Kansas and then entered Active Duty service in the United States Navy, completing his internship in General Surgery at the Naval Hospital in San Diego.  Following this, he served at Submarine Squadron 5 in Japan and as an Undersea Medical Officer aboard the USS McKee (AS-41) in San Diego for two years.

He returned to training in Orthopedic Surgery at St. Joseph ’s Hospital and Medical Center and completed his residency at the University of Kansas , School of Medicine in 2003.  He served as an Orthopedic Surgeon to the Cherry Point Marine Corp Air Station, the Expeditionary Medical Facility in Arifjan, Kuwait and the Bremerton Naval Hospital in Washington State.

Dr. Yenni is Board Certified in Orthopedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He is a current member of the Society of Military Orthopaedic Surgeons and a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery.  He has numerous publications and presentations to his credit.  His clinical interest include the treatment of degenerative joint processes including joint replacement, as well as diagnosis and treatment of sports related injuries and general musculoskeletal trauma care.
