Committed to Helping People Heal

The Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine Center offers treatment for a variety of non-healing wounds. For some patients, we are the answer to healing when the only option in the past was amputation.

Treatment is available for diabetic ulcers, venous/arterial ulcers, pressure ulcers, and acute wounds in need of specialty care.

Duke Raleigh Hospital also has a dedicated outpatient ostomy clinic.

Our results for calendar year 2010 are:

  • 87 percent of all wounds healed
  • 93 percent of wounds healed in 16 weeks
  • 95 percent limb salvage rate

The center only treats wounds, so you will continue to consult your primary doctor for additional medical care.

We ask that you visit with us on a weekly basis until you are healed. We will inform your primary doctor of your wound progress at regular intervals.

Diversified Healthcare is contracted to manage the Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine Center.  Some providers in the center are community physicians who are not employed by Duke University Health System.  All of our providers are in the wound center a half-day each week and have their own private practices. Each physician is paired with a full time registered nurse wound care manager who will manage your care throughout your journey to healing.
