The Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine Center offers treatment for a variety of non-healing wounds. For some patients, we are the answer to healing when the only option in the past was amputation.
Treatment is available for diabetic ulcers, venous/arterial ulcers, pressure ulcers, and acute wounds in need of specialty care.
Duke Raleigh Hospital also has a dedicated outpatient ostomy clinic.
Our results for calendar year 2010 are:
- 87 percent of all wounds healed
- 93 percent of wounds healed in 16 weeks
- 95 percent limb salvage rate
The center only treats wounds, so you will continue to consult your primary doctor for additional medical care.
We ask that you visit with us on a weekly basis until you are healed. We will inform your primary doctor of your wound progress at regular intervals.
