Gail Parkins Memorial Ovarian Awareness Walk

Join us for the 7th annual Gail Parkins Memorial Ovarian Awareness Walk. The two-mile walk begins at Sanderson High School at 10:30 a.m. (registration at 9:00 a.m.) The annual event celebrates and honors the incredible strength and courage of women in the battle against ovarian cancer. Proceeds of the walk benefit the GYN oncology programs at the Duke Comprehensive Cancer Center and Duke Cancer Center Raleigh.

Miss USA Kristen Dalton and Miss Teen NC USA Scarlett Howell will attend this fundraiser.

A full schedule of the days events include the following:

9:00 a.m. - Registration and Refreshments

9:15 a.m. - "It Whispers... So Listen" free educational forum

10:30 a.m. - Walk Begins/Survivor Recognition
