- Description
Lung Cancer is the #1 cancer killer of American men and women. It kills more people than breast, prostate, colon, liver, kidney and melanoma cancers combined. Lung cancer kills almost twice as many American women as breast cancer annually. One in 12 men and one in 16 women will get lung cancer in their lifetimes. That’s why Duke Raleigh invites you to join the fight against lung cancer.
Duke Cancer Center Raleigh is the presenting sponsor of this year’s Free to Breathe 5K/ 1 mile walk to fight lung cancer. The Free to Breathe walk will be on November 3 at 9:00 a.m. at Ravenscroft School in Raleigh.
You can help fight lung cancer by walking with Duke Raleigh Hospital on November 3. This year 100 percent of the proceeds will go to the National Lung Cancer Partnership to help fund research for more effective treatments for lung cancer. To register for Free to Breathe, visit freetobreathe.com, or contact Lauren Rickman at 954-3950 for more information.
