The most preventable form of cancer is the leading cause of cancer death for both men and women. Each year, lung cancer kills more people than colon, breast and prostate cancers combined.*
In honor of lung cancer awareness month, Raleigh Community Hospital (RCH) is hosting a community program and lecture on lung cancer and smoking cessation. Topics will include the latest in lung cancer diagnostics, surgical options, smoking cessation and will conclude with a panel discussion.

RCH is presenting the program in conjunction with Lilly Pharmaceutical and the American Cancer Society on Wednesday, November 20 from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. in the RCH cafeteria.
Speakers will include Dr. Tommy D’Amico, thoracic surgeon at the Duke Comprehensive Cancer Center, Dr. Sharon Taylor, medical oncologist of Duke Hematology/Oncology and Sarah Cox, Health Action Council educator.
