Sept. 26, 2008 For Immediate Release

(Raleigh, NC) - Duke Raleigh Hospital is pleased to be named as one of the 2008 Best Places to Work in the Triangle announced today by the Triangle Business Journal. This distinction is awarded to organizations based on team effectiveness, retention, senior leadership, organizational values and rewards and recognition.

Doug Vinsel, CEO of Duke Raleigh Hospital said, "This distinction exemplifies the dedicated efforts of all of our employees to make Duke Raleigh a premier place to work and to take care of our patients."

Winners were chosen based on an employee survey process conducted by Quantum Market Research.  Once nominated, a company needed to meet a threshold in employee participation - a percentage that varies based upon the size of the company - to be eligible to be honored.

"These companies invest in their employees, garner trust among co-workers, manage effectively and create a highly valued culture. That is truly inspiring to other Triangle businesses," says Triangle Business Journal publisher Char Grunwaldt.

All 45 winning companies are profiled in an in-depth special section in Triangle Business Journal's September 26th edition, which is available on newsstands and to subscribers now.
