One of the most powerful impacts on diabetes management revolves around the emotions associated with the disease. Scott K. Scolnick, M.Ed. of Animas Corporation will examine these emotions and the impact of diabetes on the individual as well as the family at a free community seminar on April 8 at 6:00 p.m. in the RCH Cafeteria Classroom.

Scolnick has a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology, a background in Marriage and Family Therapy and has had Type 1 diabetes since age 15. His lecture will explore how to approach the everyday challenges of having diabetes and creative ways to change perspectives in dealing with those challenges.
