Urban Ministries of Wake County has named Raleigh Community Hospital CEO

Jim Knight as one of the newest members of its Board of Directors. Knight brings his healthcare perspective, leadership and experience to the organization, which provides services such as medical health care, prescription medications, financial assistance, food assistance and other support services to promote self-sufficiency and a stable home environment for those in need. Last year alone, Urban Ministries provided essential services to over 21,000 low-income Wake County residents.

Knight is pleased to be working with Urban Ministries and applauds the variety of programs offered by the organization. “Urban Ministries provides a critical set of resources for those in our community whose need is greatest”, said Knight. “ I am honored to have been selected to serve on its Board. Raleigh Community Hospital has enjoyed a long, positive relationship with Urban Ministries, and I look forward to strengthening this tradition in the future.”

Knight will begin serving his three-year term on September 18.
